Greetings on Machine Builder’s Day

The message reads, in part:
“You feel well-deserved pride in the remarkable pages of the national
machine-building industry history, the names of outstanding scientists,
engineers, managers, workers – top-qualification
specialists. Through their labour victories and creative achievements they have
made an immense contribution to the country’s industrial
development, to the strengthening of the defence industry complex, to the implementation of large-scale and much needed projects in t energy, space,
transport, construction, and Arctic exploration.
It is gratifying that the current
generation of machine builders cherishes the wonderful traditions of their
predecessors, former workers of their enterprises and design teams. You are
well aware of the significance of your work: you are actively mastering new skills
and areas of activity, increasing the output of high-tech products and modern
equipment that meet advanced standards and requirements. I would like to emphasise that it is the machine building industry, with its truly unique
innovative and expert capabilities, that largely determines the strengthening
of Russia’s
industrial and human resource potential and solving large-scale social problems
as well as improving people’s quality of life.
And, of course, it is necessary to give priority attention to the training of promising, talented personnel,
creation of conditions for intellectual and creative growth of young people. This
is the only way for the Russian machine building industry to maintain its
competitiveness and reliably ensure the technological sovereignty of our
country.”
